Healthy Snacking : Back to Nature Chocolate Chunk Cookies Review

Back to Nature Chocolate Chip Cookie Review | Live Beautifully

Say “cookies” around my house loud enough and my kiddos come running through the house like a pack of wild horses. Yes, we all have a massive sweet tooth and finding healthy snacks can be tough. We either have to make them ourselves or eat a ton of fruit and smoothies. I love a good smoothie or bowl of fruit but sometimes, nothing will do but a plate of cookies and a cold glass of milk to wash away the day.

I was super excited when Moms Meet asked me to try out and review Back to Nature Chocolate Chunk Cookies. I have seen the Back to Nature Chocolate Chunk Cookies boxes of cookies and crackers at my local Sprouts store and almost bought them many times. My mind starts thinking, “let me not bring cookies into the house or my kids will lose their minds and they will be gone in a week.” My group is seriously in love with sweets and my kids were thrilled to get the chance to try these cookies out for moms blog. So fun!

First up, let me share with you why Back to Nature‘s products are different, healthier and just plain better.

  1. They have a mission ( I love this!) “to give people truly delicious foods made from recipes inspired by nature.”
  2. Their products are non-GMO and Kosher
  3. The cookies we tried are made with no hydrogenated oils and no high fructose corn syrup. This is a total win, as I try to refrain from using products with these ingredients in them.

As ingredients go, these are pretty straightforward: Unbleached wheat flower, semi-sweet chocolate (sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter, dextrose, soy lecithin, vanilla extract), dried cane syrup, safflower oil, brown rice syrup, baking soda, sea salt.

I love the fact that they are made with unbleached wheat flour. As far as I am concerned, this is a clean alternative to desserts that I can feel good about. I can see tossing a box of these in the car on a road trip or serving at a kids party. The price is average for wholesome snacks and you can find them at your local Sprouts, Publix, Kroger or Target as well as on  Amazon – wooohooo Prime!

We thought they tasted great! The cookies were fresh and delicious right out of the box and lasted for 4 or 5 days. Each crisp, delicious bite was flavorful and had huge chunks of semi-sweet chocolate in each. I would even say they were better than the popular ready made chocolate chip cookies I grew up eating as a kid. A pleasant surprise! And a lasting family favorite for good.
